Richard Alvin Dickey, pioneer resident of Reydon, Oklahoma was born September 12, 1891 in Greencastle, Iowa, and passed away September 21, 1976, at the Sayre Hospital in Sayre, Oklahoma.

He came to Oklahoma with his parents from Kansas at a very young age.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion of Reydon.

Survivors include two sisters, Nellie Burns of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; and Bertha Turner of Pampa, Texas; four brothers, Glen of Sacramento, California; Clyde of Mobettie, Texas; Howard of Sweetwater, Oklahoma; and Leston of Myrtle Point, Oregon.

Funeral services for Mr. Dickey were held Thursday, September 23, 1976, at the Reydon Community Building.

Officiating minister was Rev. Eddie Overstreet.

Interment was in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Scroggins Funeral Home.
