Douglas Clayton Danks was born August 24, 1970 in Victoria, Texas. He passed from this life on August 8, 2003 near Reydon, Oklahoma at the age of 32 years, 11 months and 14 days.
Doug moved to Reydon with his family at an early age. He attended Reydon School where he participated in a variety of activities but enjoyed being a FFA member the most.
He graduated from Reydon High School in 1989 and remained in Reydon.
Though Doug never had any children of his own, he had stepchildren, a grandson, a niece and nephews who will greatly miss him. He never met a child he didn't love.
Everyone who knew Doug understood that his "baby" was his Rottweller, Duke.
Doug was a member of the Reydon United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfathers; and two brothers, David Danks, Jr., and John Danks.
Services were held Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the Reydon First Baptist Church, officiated by Andy Taylor and Lindy Sasser.
Burial was held in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
Survivors include his father, David Danks of Park Rapids, Minnesota; his mothers, Kay Danks of Reydon, Oklahoma; Dianne Moore of Yorktown, Texas; three sisters, Denise Danks and Tommy Kendall of Reydon, Oklahoma; Kathryn and Josh Minor of Strong City, Oklahoma; Dawn Webb of Elk City, Oklahoma; one brother, Charles "Bo" Kinsey of Yorktown, Texas; his grandmothers, Myrtle Danks of Park Rapids, Minnesota; and Pauline Waites of Yorktown, Texas; as well as other relatives and numerous friends.
