Wade Hampton "Hamp" Daniel was born September 10, 1909 in Fyffe, Alabama and passed away June 8, 1991 in the Grand Place Nursing Center of Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 29 days.
"Hamp" as he was known to many, was the son of Arthur and Josephine Daniel.
He moved as a small boy to Gould, Oklahoma and then to Reydon, Oklahoma in 1930.
On September 10, 1950 he married Fredda Mae Hughes in Las Cruces, New Mexico and they made their home in Reydon where he operated a dozer service and worked as a mechanic.
He loved to fish and garden and also enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.
Hamp was baptized in the Baptist Church when he was young.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter; two sons; two infants; one sister, and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Fredda Mae of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; three daughters, Ruth Holley of Chickasha, Oklahoma; Linda Holley and her husband, Cecil, of Lawton, Oklahoma; Floe Daniel and her husband, Bill of Charleston, South Carolina; five sons, Leslie Hughes and wife, Sharon, of Haysville, Kansas; Ray Hughes and his wife, Rita of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Bruce Daniel and wife, Claudine of Snyder, Oklahoma; James Daniel of Reydon, Oklahoma; William Daniel and his wife, Sharon of Reydon, Oklahoma; four sisters, Leola Curry of Quanah, Texas; Emma Bailey of Rainsville, Alabama; Floe Dobbins of Fyffe, Alabama; and Shirley Duncan, also of Fyffe, Alabama; three brothers, T. J. of Dallas, Texas; Dee of Texas; and Carl of Rainsville, Alabama; twenty one grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, June 11, 1991 at 11:00 a.m. in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Randy Allen officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
