Winona Vemeda Crockett Clift was born June 1, 1920 in Dixie, Arkansas to Mary E. and Dave Crockett and passed away February 10, 1998 in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 9 days.
She attended school at Dixie and married Elston Charles Clift in 1943 at Paragould, Arkansas.
They moved to Reydon, Oklahoma and later to Pampa, Texas before returning to Reydon, Oklahoma and later to Pampa, Texas before returning to Reydon in 1957 to make their home.
Winona loved to cook and quilt.
She was a member of the Reydon Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, two sisters and two grandsons.
She is survived by six daughters, Bobbie Sue Parker, Jeanette Lermon, both of Amarillo, Texas; Charlotte Cooper of Wheeler, Texas; Peggy Gettle of Reydon, Oklahoma; Helen Yandell of Shreveport, Louisiana; Jean Adams of Amarillo, Texas; one sister Dorothy Wheeler of Elk City, Oklahoma; two brothers, David Crockett of Joplin, Missouri; and Billy Dan Crockett of St. Charles, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 1998 at the Reydon Community Building officiated by Randy Allen.
Interment was in the White Rose Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
