Funeral services were held for Virginia Ann Sumpter Chisum of Claremore, Oklahoma, who died June 12, 1972 in St. John's Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Services were in the Community Building at Reydon, June 15, 1972 under the direction of Scroggins and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin B. Milliken, Pastor, First Baptist Church, Reydon, officiating. Burial was in White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Chisum was born February 12, 1952 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma passed this life June 12, 1972.
Virginia lived most of her life around Reydon, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Reydon.
She was married to Tony Joe Chisum, December 24, 1967. They have one daughter, Patricia Ann, age 15 months.
She leaves behind her husband and daughter; her father, Homer Sumpter; mother, Elnora Sumpter; three sisters, Alice Cline of Duncan, Oklahoma; Joelanda Sumpter of Elk City; and Vickie Sumpter of Elk City, Oklahoma; two half sisters, Lydia Mattledge of Maryland; Mickey Brown of McAllen, Texas; two brothers, Gary Lee Sumpter of Raton, New Mexico; Frank Sumpter of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; one half brother Isable, Jr. of Rio Grande Valley; and a host of relatives and friends.
