Nellie Florence Dickey Burns, 83, of McLean, Texas was born July 5, 1901 near Portia, Kansas to Richard A. and Sharlottie Dickey.
She passed away Saturday morning, June 8, 1985 in the Thomas Nursing Home of McLean, Texas following an extended illness.
She came with her parents in 1903 to the Reydon-Rankin Community where she lived until her marriage to Beeler Charles Burns September 20, 1948 in Wheeler, Texas. They made their home in Cheyenne.
In 1982 she moved to Dumas, Texas then to McLean, Texas in 1984.
She had been a member of the United Methodist Church in Cheyenne for a number of years.
Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her husband Bee in 1969; her parents; four sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Jessie Lawless and Leara.
Burial was in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
