Otto E. Boatwright

Otto E. Boatwright was born September 27, 1909 in Roger Mills county, Oklahoma and passed away June 12, 1991 in the Elk City Community Hospital at the age of 81 years, 8 months, 22 days.

Otto, the son of James Paul and Lizzie Boatwright, moved to west Texas in 1947 where he farmed and ranched.

On September 20, 1986 he married Esther Simpson Davis in Cheyenne, Oklahoma

Otto was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Plainview, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, three brothers and an infant daughter.

He is survived by his wife; Esther of Cordell, Oklahoma; one daughter, Darlene Wellman of Corsicana, Texas; two sons, Gene Boatwright and his wife, Elaine, of Clovis New Mexico; Clarence Boatwright of Longview, Texas; one sister, Rosie McIntyre of Cottonwood, California; thirteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held Thursday, June 13, 1991 at 4:00 p.m. in the White Rose Cemetery with Juanice Parkhurst officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.
