Robert E. Barton II was born November 27, 1956 in Camp Pendleton, California to Charlotte Bell and Robert Eugene Barton. He passed away August 29, 2000 near Capulin, Colorado at the age of 43 years, 9 months and 2 days.
He moved with his family to Cheyenne, Oklahoma when he was a small child. They lived on the Thurmond Ranch until moving to Clinton, Oklahoma. They returned to Cheyenne and later moved to Mangum before moving to Reydon.
He was married to Lisa Rose Dockins in Wheeler, Texas on October 28, 1982 and they remained in the Reydon area to make their home.
Robert enjoyed being a cowboy and working with cattle. He also worked in the oilfield as a rougneck and was currently employed with T & O Oilfield Company.
Robert was a simple man and his greatest love was his three daughters. He had them late in life and they were his world.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
An infant, Eugenia Rynna preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife Lisa of the home; three daughters, Haley Barton, Kasey Barton and Dona Dockins all of the home; his parents, Robert E. Barton of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; and Charlotte Gregory of Reydon, Oklahoma; one brother, David Barton of Reydon, Oklahoma; two sisters, Lana Stands Overbull of Pryor, Montana; and Diana Jo Arndt of Reydon, Oklahoma; his grandmother, Veta Pearl Barton of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; and Mattie Tice of Stillwater, Oklahoma; his parents-in- law, Rosemary and Leon Dockins of Mobeetie, Texas; several aunts, uncles; nieces; and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held September 3, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at Reydon Community Building officiated by Rev. Alberta Helton and Andy Taylor. Burial was at White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
