Mrs. Mary Ann Barrett Barker was born March 10, 1880 in Highland County, Ohio to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Barrett.
She departed this life Monday, January 29, 1968 in the Erick hospital.
She was 87 years, 10 months, 19 days of age.
She was united in marriage to Richard S. Barker January 26, 1896 at Greensburg, Iowa.
To this union eight daughters and five sons were born.
Her husband and two daughters Ruby and Mildred, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Barker and her husband came to the Reydon community in 1908 where she has resided 60 years.
She was a member of the Methodist church.
She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Hazel Howell of Mayfield; Mrs. Vera Byers of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; Mrs. Leora Sullenberger of Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Edith Brown of Grimes; Mrs. Creda Miller of Texola; Mrs. Ruth Hughes of Los Alamos, New Mexico; five sons, Fred of Phoenix, Arizona; Earl and Orville of Reydon; Glenn of Hay Camp, California; Arthur of Durham; twenty one grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Dollie Schillings and Mrs. Eva Schillings of Jefferson, Iowa; Mrs. Ruth Bravard of Seal Beach, California; Mrs. Dora Webb of Des Moines, Iowa; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held in the Reydon Community building Thursday, February 1, 1968 by Dr. Charles Simpson of Oklahoma City, assisted by Leland Burch.
Interment was in the White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma by the side of her husband who died in 1930.
