Luther William Creed, who is well known to the people in and about Strong City, has died in France with pneumonia.

He was born in Navarro county, Texas in 1893, and came with his parents to Oklahoma about ten years ago.

The family later moved to Louisiana and then came back to Oklahoma about three years ago.

While in Strong City, Luther ran a taylor and cleaning shop and acquired many friends and a large acquaintance.

He registered in Strong City, but left for the training camp direct from California where he had gone to visit with his parents just before entering the army.

Luther was a good boy, honest and industrious, and highly respected by all who knew him.

His bereaved relatives have the sympathy of all who knew him.
