Services for Mrs. Nellie May Hill Cofer were held in the Baptist church in Strong City Friday afternoon. Rev. Orval Ray, First Baptist church, Oklahoma City, preached the funeral sermon.

He was assisted by Rev. C. J. Davis, pastor of Howard Memorial Baptist church, Oklahoma City.

Committal was in the Strong City cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.

Nellie May Hill was born March 12, 1898 to Charles E. Hill and Hermie B. Hill in Zenia, Illinois, and departed this life at Oklahoma City on June 30, 1959, at the age of 61 years, 3 months and 18 days.

She moved with her parents to Strong City, Oklahoma 48 years ago, grew to womanhood and was united in marriage to William A. Cofer on December 24, 1916. To this union were born four children, Glen, who preceded her in death in 1931; Charles Orval Cofer of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Winifred Mabra of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and Louise Lee, with whom she made her home in Del City, Oklahoma.

She was converted at the age of eighteen and united with the Baptist church at Strong City. She remained loyal to her church and lived a true and dedicated Christian life.

Her husband preceded her in death on January 17, 1954. It was at this time she moved to Del City and made her home with her daughter.

Besides her children she leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Mrs. Naomi Potter of Clinton, Oklahoma; and one brother, Roy Hill of Huntington Park, California; eight grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and lived the kind of life that made her life an inspiration to all who knew her. Through many weeks of suffering she exhibited her Christian faith and love for her Lord, His grace was sufficient.

There is great comfort in knowing that One who knows best of all things, directs the destinies of mankind.

We know that all things work for the good of those who love the Lord. - Romans 8:28.
