Millard Franklin Caudle, 71, of the Roll community was born to James C. and Olive V. Caudle, April 27, 1913 in Montague, Texas and passed from this life Sunday night, September 23, 1984 in the Sayre Memorial Hospital, Sayre, Oklahoma following an extended illness.
He moved with his parents to Roger Mills county in 1919, making his home here since that time.
He had been a Veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.
He was also a farmer and rancher.
His parents, two brothers, Tilman and James; and one sister, Hazel Beebe preceded him in death.
Survivors include two brothers, William Henry "Bill" Caudle of Cheyenne and Edgar Paul of McLoud, Oklahoma; four sisters, Gertrude Fleming of Claremore, Oklahoma; Effie Mae Archer of Portland, Oregon; a twin sister, Millie Duke of Dumas, Texas; and Cordelia Archer of Strong City, Oklahoma; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, September 26, 1984 at 4:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Cheyenne with Clyde Denny and Stan Norman officiating.
Interment followed in the Strong City Cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.
Pallbearers were Joe Whitson, Charlie Whitson, Gene Whitson, James McClellan, Fred Cobb and Woodrow Barber.
