James Columbus Caudle was born June 19, 1886 in Weakley county, Tennessee and departed this life November 24, 1960 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years, 5 months and 5 days.

He lived a true Methodist life.

He was united in marriage to Oline Victoria McFarland on December 28, 1893. To this union eleven children were born. Two preceded him in death, a son in Infancy and a daughter, Hazel Beebe.

Left to mourn him are his wife Olline Caudle, and a son, Millard, of the home address; Telman of Sacramento, California; Bill of Strong City; James of Sunray, Texas; Paul of Sentinel; Gertrude Fleming of Claremore; Effie Forest and Millie Duke of Dumas, Texas; and Cordelia Archer of Strong City; 25 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted in the Baptist church in Cheyenne with Rev. A. L. Martin of Crawford and Rev. Clayton Hughes of Cheyenne in charge.

Committal was in the Strong City cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne.
