Arista Fay Jackson Wilson was born March 14, 1915 in Massac County, Illinois to Amanda Susan and James Marion Jackson.
She passed away October 7, 2003 in the Ochiltree General Hospital, Perryton, Texas at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 23 days.
Arista moved with her parents to Ellis county in 1929 where she graduated from Arnett High School.
She was married to Victor Oren Stroup and they lived in the Crawford community in Roger Mills county.
Victor passed away in October of 1958.
She later married Roy Eugene Wilson and they lived in Arnett, Oklahoma where they operated a dairy. Gene passed away in 1980.
Arista moved to Perryton, Texas in May of 2000 to make her home.
She attended the United Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, fourteen siblings, two great grandsons, Michael Roark and his wife, Skyla and Shane Roark.
Services were held Saturday, October 11, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cheyenne First Baptist Church officiated by Fred King.
Burial was held at Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills county, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
Survivors include two daughters, Audna Blasingame of Sweetwater, Oklahoma; and Sue Snell of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; two sons, Vertis Stroup of Perryton, Texas; and Rodney Stroup of Arnett, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
