Ethel Lucille McClellan Smith was born on March 6, 1909 in Sargent, Missouri and passed away on September 24, 1988 in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital at the age of 79 yrs, 6 months and 18 days.
Lucille, the daughter of Lawrence Augustus and Mattie Emma Case McClellan moved with her parents to Kansas and later to Roger Mills county in the Roll community in 1910.
On November 3, 1928, she married Leslie Baley Smith at Sayre, Oklahoma.
They moved to Spearman, Texas and Ft. Worth, Texas before moving to Cheyenne in 1966 to make their home.
She had been a member of the Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas since 1957.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Patricia; one grandchild; one great grandchild; two sisters and six brothers.
She is survived by three daughters, Bonita Beals of Roll, Oklahoma; Loretta Kinney and Jeweleen Smith of Weatherford, Texas; two sons, Leslie and Billymack Smith of Weatherford, Texas; one brother, Russell McClellan of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; thirteen greatgrandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were at Magnolia Baptist Church, Crawford, Oklahoma with A. L. Martin and Terry Beals officiating.
Burial was in the Silent Home Cemetery.
Grandsons serving as pall bearers were Michael Smith, Darrell Smith and Lonnie Beals.
Grandsons-in-law serving were Mac Taylor, Don Whiteneck and Dale Sides.
Services were under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Home.
