Ressie Eileen Sadler was born March 23, 1937 in Roll, Oklahoma to Cora Mary Mae and Scott Pierce Springer.God called her home on February 24, 2013 in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 1 day.Ressie graduated from Crawford High School in 1955.She married Wayne Leo Sadler in Clovis, New Mexico on January 15, 1956 and they lived for a short time in Perryton, Texas, Yakima, Washington and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma before making their home in Redmond, Washington.Ressie was a homemaker and mother to her three children while Wayne worked in the pipeline construction business.In 1970, they moved the family back to Oklahoma and made their home in Roger Mills County.Ressie owned and operated Sadler Grocery and the Hilltop Café in Reydon for many years while also working for the United States Postal Service.Ressie was an avid fan of all sports.Her greatest love was her grandchildren, great grandchildren and attending Magnolia Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three sisters, Sylvia Cagle, Carolyn Sims and Dora Hammond; a stepson, Danny Sadler; and a great granddaughter, Maci Sadler.She is survived by her son, Lynn Sadler and wife, Katherine of Gardendale, Texas; two daughters, Susan Blythe and husband John of Redlands, California; Janice Bailey and mate, Craig Marks of San Bernardino, California; one sister, Mae Sue Bright of Roll, Oklahoma; three brothers, Lloyd Springer of Waco, Texas; Pete Springer of Bothell, Washington; and Willie Springer of Roll, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.Services will be held March 3, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Crawford School Gymnasium officiated by Dale Westbrook.Visitation will be Wednesday, February 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Thursday, February 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, March 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.Burial will be at Silent Home Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
