Matthew William Reed died at his home between Cheyenne and Strong City, March 4, 1928, at the age of 80 years.

He was born March 4, 1849 to Amos and Sina Reed.

Funeral services were held March 5, 1928 at the Roll {Silent Home} Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of George R. Grubitz & Son.
