Daniel Andrew Malson was born in Monroe county, Ohio, August
27, 1856. He departed this life July 31, 1938. He was one of the early pioneers, and was an honest, upright
and honorable man. He was a good citizen of our country, and
a friend to all. He was married to Georgia Skeens April 5, 1894 and to this
union were born ten children, two of whom preceded him to
that Great Beyond. Mr. Malson leaves to mourn his loss his wife, eight
children, ten grandchildren, and a niece and other
relatives, besides a world of friends. One of his notable characteristics was his love for little
children, and he was never to busy to stop and say a kind or
sympathetic word to all who knew him. He was converted and
united with the Church of God in 1913 and has lived a
faithful and devoted Christian life ever since. He was
always ready to witness for his Savior, and even during his
last illness he gave wonderful and convincing testamony of
his Master, saying that "The Angel of the Lord is watching
over me," and telling all who came to talk with him about
the Lord.
Funeral services were conducted at the Silent Home chapel,
Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
Rev. J.W. Carleston, pastor of the Baptist Church at
Cheyenne, delivered the funeral sermon, with the Tunnard
Funeral Home in charge of the interment.
