Ellen Winston Allen Daniels, a resident of Cheyenne was born February 19, 1930 in Canute, Oklahoma to Jenny Bell and Rufus Wallace Allen. She passed away April 14, 2001 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital at the age of 71 years 1 month and 26 days.
Ellen attended school at Crawford.
She married Aubra "Blacky" Daniels at Cheyenne, Oklahoma on December 8, 1945.
They owned a grocery store in Dumas, Texas before moving to California for a short time. They returned to Oklahoma in 1956 where they bought a farm at Three Corners and they ran cattle before beginning a dairy operation.
They later moved it to their farm west of Cheyenne and operated the dairy until 1981, but continued to raise cattle until her death. They moved to Cheyenne in 1992 to make their home.
She loved raising flowers, reading and collecting ceramic Holstein cows.
She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
She has been a member of the Cheyenne First Baptist Church since 1969.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Jimmie Lou; and six brothers, Jack, Junior, Clovis, Sam, Josh and Bobby.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Dale Farrell and husband, William Dale of Sweetwater, Oklahoma; and Ellen Marie Kirk and husband Rory of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; one son, Ardith Daniels and wife Patti of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; four granddaughters, Dena Lee Farrell, Dana Len Farrell, Danielle Daniels and Samantha Kirk; and three grandsons, Billy Joe Farrell, Danny Dale Farrell and Michael Wayne Farrell; two sisters, Meadow Bell Graham of Fair Acres, New Mexico; and Tennie Daled Campbell of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services were held April 17, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. at Cheyenne First Baptist Church, officated by Terrell Romberg.
Burial followed at Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
