Services for Flora Mae Lucas Cole were held in Magnolia Baptist Church, Crawford, Saturday, April 4, 1981, at 2:30 p.m. with A.L. Martin officiating with Clyde Denny assisting.
Flora Mae Cole of Route 1, Durham, Oklahoma, departed this life April 1, 1981, at 5:30 p.m. in the home of her daughter, Mary June Brown in Borger, Texas.
Flo was born on November 6, 1893, in Erie Township, Miami county, Peru, Indiana.
She moved with her parents, Omar D. Lucas and Mary Gertrude Lucas to Roger Mills county, 7 miles west of Roll at the age of 6 years.
On October 24, 1926 she was united in marriage to Robert Lee Cole. To this union was born one child, Mary June of Borger, Texas.
Flo and Lee had been married 54 years, 5 months and 5 days.
She was converted in the Nazarene Church in 1922.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and Deb Lucas.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Cole; daughter, Mary June Brown; three grandchildren, Patsy Blakley of Amarillo, Texas; Michael Brown of Dallas, Texas; and Debbie Brown of Borger, Texas; two great grandchildren, Michele and Mandy Blakley of Amarillo, Texas; and three sisters, Elsie Jones, Hallie Hanawalt and Nena Cannon.
At the time of her passing Mrs. Cole was also survived by two brothers, Fred and Jack Lucas of Roger Mills county.
Jack followed her in death April 3rd.
Interment was in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Rose Chapel Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were nephews Clarence Lucas, Claud Lucas, Ike Lucas, Bob Cannon, Leroy Bowers and Delbert Powers.
