Mrs. Lola Mae Griffey Castle of Cheyenne died Saturday, October 9, 1971 at the Cheyenne hospital following a critical illness.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 12, 1971 at 2:30 p.m. in the Cheyenne Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. Fred Woolard of Sayre.
Born February 20, 1919 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Mrs. Castle came to western Oklahoma when young and was married June 6, 1937 to Ted Ira Castle in Roger Mills county.
She was a long time member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband of Crawford; one daughter, Mary Joe Crawford of Yukon, Oklahoma; four sons, Ted. Jr. of Sterling; Jack of Elk City; Wayne of Oklahoma City; Curtis of the home; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gerald Lackey, James Caudle, Ralph Whitney, Billy Gene Northcutt, O. L. Duke, Mike Laurent and Duane Smith.
Committal was in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Scroggins and Son Funeral Home in charge.
