Dorothy Ator (Ford) was born on June 7, 1925 in Eldorado, CO and passed away on July 2, 2018 at 93 years of age in Aurora, CO.
 

She moved to the Roll, Ok community in 1940. She attended Crawford High School where she met Leamon B. Ator. They were married on December 5, 1942. They lived in the Roll community until 1956 when they moved to Wichita, Kansas. In 1963 she moved with her husband and children to Rockford, IL and in 1966 moved to her final home in Denver, CO.

She volunteered at Valley View Hospital and delivered meals for Meals on Wheels. She was a volunteer and supporter of the Adams County Democratic Party for many years.


Dorothy is survived by her daughter Linda Schubert, granddaughters Melissa Cooper (Dean), Melinda Schubert (Kristina), grandson Daniel Ator (Jenny) and Daughter in law Joan Ator. Great grandsons Michael and James Cooper and Jorie Leamon Schubert, great granddaughter Olivia Kay Schubert. One great great grandson JJ Cooper Wilson.


She was preceded in death by her loving husband Leamon, son Ronald (Joann), her parents Forrest and Clyde Ford, sister Marjorie Massey, brothers Roy and Gene Ford and her father and mother in law Lecil and Willie Ator.
 

Dorothy will be interred in the family plot at Silent Home Cemetery on July 14, 2018 at 11:30 am.
 

The family would like to thank the Reverend Randy Green, Bob and Shirley Cogburn of Magnolia Baptist Church for their help in this time of need.
