Junior R. Allen, 61, of Rose, Nebraska was born January 2, 1922 in Beckham County, Oklahoma to Rufus W. and Jennie Bell Allen and passed away Wednesday, August 10, 1983 in Roger Mills Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Allen attended school at Midway and following his marriage to Ala Belle Louise Tindell in Arnett, Oklahoma on December 29, 1938 they moved to Roger Mills County where they lived until 1962, moving to Chadron, Nebraska living there until 1966. From Nebraska they lived in Williamsbrug, Missouri until 1968 moving to Liberal, Kansas until 1973 when they made their home in Rose, Nebraska.
He was a rancher/farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church in Reydon, Oklahoma.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his mother; one daughter; and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Louise of the home; three daughters, June Hartley of Durham, Oklahoma; Christina Jackson of Liberal, Kansas; Janice Gaskill of Moscow, Kansas; one son, Larry Allen of Rose, Nebraska; his father Rufus W. Allen of Cheyenne; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Meadow Bell Smith of Roswell, New Mexico; Tennie Dale Campbell; Ellen Daniels; and Jimmie Lou Willmoth, all of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; three brothers, Clovis W. Allen of Liberal, Kansas; Jack Allen and Sam Allen, both of Crawford, Oklahoma.
Funeral services were conducted by Charlie Shaw and Ray Smart, Friday, August 12, 1983 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Reydon with interment following in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers were Jodie Allen, Johnny Allen, Jerry Allen, Jimmy Allen, Jackie Allen, Richy Allen, Royce Allen and Ardith Daniels.
Arrangements were made by Rose Chapel Funeral Services of Cheyenne.
