Roy Lyle Albright was born August 13, 1926 in Leedey, Oklahoma to Josephine Irene and Robert Elijah Albright. He passed away June 24, 2009 at Amarillo, Texas at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 11 days.
Roy moved with his parents to Amarillo, Texas where he graduated from high school.
He entered the United States Army and served his country for 12 years.
He was married to Shirley Jean Northrup at Amarillo, Texas on April 22, 1967. They moved to Roll, Oklahoma and lived there before moving to Sayre in 2008 to make their home.
Roy retired on the bridge building crew for the Santa Fe Railroad in 1988.
He was a member of the Jehovah Witness.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home; four children, Roy David Albright and wife Ruth, Salisbury, Massachusetts; Karen Denise Plante, Katy, Texas; Wade Lyle Albright, Elk City, Oklahoma; and Lori Moler, Briscoe, Texas; three grandchildren, Raymond and Nicole Albright; and Trevor Plante; three great grandchildren, Kellie Moler, Matthew Albright and Dresta Plante; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, Sayre officiated by Edsel Nation and Neal Callahan.
Interment at Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
