Walter Roy Aderhold, 87, was born January 23, 1903 in Colgate, Oklahoma to Ham H. and Maude Jones Aderhold. He died Sunday, April 29, 1990 in the Sayre Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Walter moved with his parents to the farm east of Roll in 1905 where he grew up.
On December 20, 1927 he was married to Arvor Viola Butler in Sayre. They lived in Oregon for a short time before returning to Crawford to make their home. Arvor died in 1955.
On February 12, 1960 Walter and Ella Sides Collins were married in Durham and remained in the Crawford community where they farmed. Ella preceded him in death in 1981.
He had been a member of the Crawford Church of Christ for a number of years.
In addition to both his wives, those preceding him in death were his parents, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include one daughter, Nan Evans of Elk City; one son, Frank Collins of Durham; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m. in the Crawford Church of Christ with Earl Reed officiating.
Burial will follow in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.
