Maude Marion Jones, daughter of Marion and Katherine Jones, was born December 7, 1869 at Dresden, Texas and departed this life June 18, 1950 at the age of 80 years, 6 months and 11 days, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lester McClellan.
Maude Jones was united in marriage December 13, 1891 to Ham Harbor Aderhold at Perdon, Texas. To this union six children were born.
Mrs. Aderhold and her husband and family moved to a farm east of Roll, Oklahoma October 3, 1905 from Coalgate, Oklahoma where they lived until a short time before her husband preceded her in death March 4, 1949, since that time "Granny" has lived with her children.
She was converted and united with the Baptist church at Ashland, Oklahoma in 1901.
When she and Mr. Aderhold moved to the Breezy Meadow community they united with the Baptist church there and have been faithful members there for 45 years.
Mrs. Aderhold, known to her family and friends as "Granny," was a good mother and a wonderful neighbor.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lester McClellan of Strong City; Mrs. Emmit McClellan of Elk City; Mrs. Jim Sing of Strong City; two sons, Fred Aderhold of Strong City; and Walter Aderhold of Crawford; three brothers, Bruce and Sam Jones of Reydon, Oklahoma; Rhett Jones of Plainview, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Cora Woods and Mrs. Addie Guthrie of Sayre, Oklahoma; Mrs. Sam Kendall of Cheyenne; and Mrs. Ruth Slater of Blooming Grove, Texas; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
One son preceded her in death in infancy.
Burial in Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
