Boyd F. Cornett was born in Bath County, Kentucky December 1, 1881, to S. J. and Nancy Jane Cornett. He passed away, September 17, 1959 at his home in Cheyenne at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 17 days.
He came to what is now Roger Mills county, Oklahoma with his parents in 1901.
He was married to Jessie Elmina Robinson, September 25, 1913.
To this union were born eleven children, six sons and five daughters, Paul, Billy and Glen of Wilderado, Texas; James D. of Browning, Montana; Bobby and Jessie of Los Angeles, California; Lois Tackitt of Sweet Home, Oregon; Edith Snell of Reydon, Oklahoma; Naomi Sullen of Lawndale, California; Eunice Mangold of Amarillo, Texas; and Ruth Cheateaux of Hawthorn, California. All of the children and their companions were present for the funeral.
In 1907 he was baptized into Christ.
He is survived by thirty grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.
C. W. Rhodes, minister of the Church of Christ of Biner preached the funeral at the Cheyenne Church of Christ.
Interment was in the Shirley cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
