Karen lived her entire life in Elk City where she graduated from high school in 1967. She later married and had a daughter, Jeannetta. Karen began working in 1979 at the Community Hospital, which later became Great Plains Regional Medical Center, where she rocked babies in the nursery for many years. She retired in 2009 with over 35 years of service. Her main priority and love in life was caring for her family. Karen will be fondly remembered as a very caring and giving person to all that she knew.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeannetta Sargent and husband,
Todd, of Elk City, OK; 2 grandchildren Cody Lord and wife, Ashleigh,
of Canute, OK and Justin Lord of Elk City, OK; her mother, Edith
Weaver of Corn, OK; 1 great grandson, Whesyn Lord; 2 brothers, Dale
Trissell of Elk City, Ok and Billy Trissell and wife, Holly, of Elk
City, OK; a sister, Karla Hill and husband, Wayne, of Chandler, OK;
and host of other relatives and friends.
