Clarence was born December 19, 1948 in Elk City, OK to his parents Clarence and Lilly Mae (Reiner) Stancel.
Clarence graduated from Elk City High School. He and Miss Alta Staley were married September 1, 1966 in Amarillo, TX. They made their home in Amarillo, TX, Foss, Burns Flat and Elk City before moving to Hammon, OK where they currently reside. Clarence had many jobs in his life time including working as a gas station attendant, in an auto carpet factory and doing paint and drywall work. He was known as a good man and a hard worker. Clarence enjoyed his life playing the guitar and listening to country music, working on antique cars and hot rods.
