Funeral services for Emily Flora Smith Dodson will be Monday, February 25, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hammon with Rev. DeWayne VanAtta officiating.
Mrs. Dodson was born February 7, 1901 in Maude and died February 22, 1985 in the Community Hospital at the age of 84.
She had lived in Elk City for 30 years.
She was married May 20, 1917 in Pottawatomie County to Ruben Harvey "Bud" Dodson who preceded her in death on October 23, 1959.
Survivors include three sons, Buster Dodson and Frank Dodson, both of Cheyenne; and Willie "Sam" Dodson of Hammon; two daughters, Ruby Bogges of Shawnee and Sarah Faye Kirk of Elk City; twenty grandchildren; thirty eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; also three brothers, Bill Smith of Pauls Valley; George Smith of California; and Roy Smith of Wilburton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one sister and two brothers.
The family will be at the Savage Funeral Home Sunday, February 24 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for those friends wishing to call.
Interment will be in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the directions of the Savage Funeral Home.
