Funeral services for Arthur Eugene Creach, who died Monday evening in a local hospital, were held today, Thursday, January 13, 1956 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hammon Baptist Church with Rev. H. P. Elliott officiating, assisted by Rev. Harold Heiney.
Burial was in Red Hill cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills county, Oklahoma under the direction of Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Creach was born on January 19, 1890 in Ft. Thomas, Arizona, and moved with his family to Denton, Texas, when a youngster. In 1900 he moved to the Hammon area where he farmed.
He was married to Dessie May Gass in 1909.
He was a member of the Hammon Masonic Lodge and a charter member of the Hammon Baptist church.
He served as pastor of Baptist churches at Rhea, Lake Creek, Brinkham and Blue Ridge communities for fourteen years.
He is survived by his widow; two children, Mrs. Hazel Hollingsworth of Hammon; and Ernest Creach of Pampa, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and numerous friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Creach reared two of their grandchildren following the death of their daughter-in-law.
