Emery C. Ackley was born January 5, 1915 at Hammon, and lost his life in a cotton gin accident October 15, 1956, when he was pulled into machinery by a belt at a gin in Butler.
He was a member of the Baptist Church in Amarillo.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Lee; three daughters, Floretta Joe, Mary Kay and Alta Ann; and one son, J.T., all of the home address; one sister, Mrs. Retta Creswell of Elk City; five brothers, George of Pampa, Texas; Reed and Buford, both of Hammon; Glen of Aubura, California; and Hammon of San Luis Obispo, California.
Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
