Alma Bell Wear Townsend was born in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Laura and Lindsey B. Wear, June 29, 1911.
She was the fifth child of a family of ten children, who all preceded her in death, but one sister, Gertrude Payne of Cheyenne.
Alma attended school in Cheyenne and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was united in marriage to Lester D. Townsend in 1932 moving to San Diego, California. He passed away in 1972.
Alma resided in their home until the time of her passing, April 10, 1983.
Interment was in the El Camino Memorial Park, San Diego, California, April 13, 1983 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. J. D. White officiating.
