Sherman C. Thompson died January 14, 1981, and was buried in Fairmount Cemetery at Lamar, Colorado.
He was born October 29, 1886 in Missouri and came to Oklahoma in 1902 with his parents to settle near Roll.
He was active in the Roger Mills Cooperative Association and helped in organizing the Cooperative Hospital Association in 1929. He was active in Oddfellows for over 50 years and also in the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; three brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by two daughters; one son; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
