Funeral services for Riley Allen Reed, frequent visitor to the Cheyenne area, were held March 4, 2006 at the Little River United Methodist Church of Christ in Annadale, Virginia.
He passed away February 23rd in Falls Church, Virginia.
He was born April 2, 1956 in Cleburne, Texas to C. E. and Alta Riley Reed.
Interment was at Cleburne, Texas, March 6, 2006.
Riley was a graduate of Harding University.
He served as Youth Director at Churches of Christ in Cleburne, Texas, Sleta, Colorado and Seattle, Washington.
He was also a flight attendant for T.W.A. and American Airlines for eighteen years.
He was employed by the Falls Church, Virginia school systems as a bus driver at the time of his passing.
Riley was a very accomplished singer and during his college years he toured Europe with several singing groups.
He was a member of his church choir and the Fairfax county Virginia choral society. He performed in concerts often, many which included solo performances.
He is survived by his sister, Sonja Ribble and husband J. C. of Granbury, Texas; and brother Ed and wife Wanda of Cleburne; several nieces and nephews; and numerous relatives and friends.
Seventeen family members from Oklahoma, Texas, and California flew to Virginia for Riley's funeral, including Janet and Leon Malson; Gerry Saiz of Cheyenne; and Sherry Anderson of Weatherford.
