Ruby Loretta West Brown, age 90, died February 21, 2009 in Wheeler, Texas.

Mrs. Brown was born October 21, 1918 in Strong City, Oklahoma to Robert and Ann West.

She married Elmer Brown September 14, 1940 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and he passed in 1972.

She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and lived her life for the Lord.

She was a sister to the late Ernest West of Reydon.

She is survived by two sons, Robert and Dena Brown of Wheeler, Texas; James and Debi Brown of LaGrange, Texas; three daughters Nelda and James Babb of Wheeler, Texas; Opal and Shot Childress of Wheeler, Texas; and Brenda and Jerry Davis of Pampa, Texas; twenty seven grandchildren, fifty one great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren.


WHEELER - Ruby Loretta Brown, 90, died Saturday, February 21, 2009.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ricky Pfeil of Amarillo and the Rev. Larry Mitchell, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Ruby was born October 21, 1918, in Strong City, Oklahoma, to Robert and Ann Smith West.

She married Elmer Brown on September 14, 1940, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma He died in 1972.

She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was a member of Cornerstone Church.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Brown and wife Dena of Wheeler; and James Brown and wife Debi of LaGrange; three daughters, Nelda Babb and husband James; and Opal Childress and husband Shot; all of Wheeler; and Brenda Davis and husband Jerry of Pampa; twenty seven grandchildren; fifty one great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Wheeler Ambulance Service or Wheeler Fire Department.
