Funeral services for Ferris Hayes Broadbent, age 65, who died Sunday were held June 12, 1988 at Lubbock, Texas at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, 1988 in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, Pampa, Texas with the Rev. Gene Allen, pastor of Briarwood Church officiating.

Ferris was a member of the Christian Church.

Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, in Pampa with arrangements by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Broadbent, a former Pampa resident, was born in Butler, Oklahoma, April 5, 1923 and was the son of Hayes and May Broadbent.

He had been a resident of Slaten, Texas the past twelve years.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Darla Broadbent who died March 16, 1960.

Survivors include one daughter, Pat Rithaller of Pampa, Texas; five sisters, Ella McGee of Ukiah, California; Dartha McNobb of Visalia, California; Faye Kauk of Butler, Oklahoma; Gayle Fitzer of Borger, Texas; and Clara Jones of Fay, Oklahoma; two grandsons and two great grandchildren.

Pall bearers were nephews, Rick Kauk, Bill Broadbent, Delano Ramsey, Ferris Jones, Floyd Broadbent and Gene Haney.
