Submitted by: Wanda Purcell

Lilian McCaskill Blair was born on October 27, 1912 in Cobalt, Ontario, Canada and departed this life on January 24, 1996 at the age of 83 years.

Lillian lived in Cheyenne, Roger Mills county, Oklahoma for over 30 years, where she was active in the Methodist Church and various sewing and quilting clubs.

She was a superb cook and took great pride in her homemaking as well as being a good wife, mother, neighbor and friend to all. Her spirit of giving to others will always be remembered, along with her beautiful smile.

Lillian and Raymond resided on their farm south of Cheyenne for over 28 years.

She moved to Arlington in 1990 due to their failing health.

While in Arlington she became a member of the First United Methodist Church where she became active in Sunday School and the Senior fellowship group. Lillian enjoyed her new church home and all her friends at Arlington Villa.

Everyone whose lives she touched loved her dearly and she will be missed by all. Even through her pain and suffering, her beautiful smile was always there for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray McCaskill and her second husband Raymond Blair; one sister, Gladys Caldwood; and five brothers, Jack, Jim, Rupert, Ray and Norman Schmeler.

She is survived by her son Norman McCaskill and wife, Susan of Lewisville, Texas; her daughter Kathy Gundaker and husband Ed of Arlington, Texas; eight beautiful grandchildren, Kelly Pack and husband Jake of Mansfield, Texas; Mike, Danny and Laura McCaskill of Lewisville, Texas; Chris McCaskill and wife Janette of Lewisville, Texas; Robby McCaskill, U.S. Navy of San Diego, California; and Bill and Tom Bogges of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Irene Johnston and Ruth McLaren of Michigan; and one brother, George Schmeler of Florida; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
