Walter Irvin Perry Jr. was born December 15, 1925 in Sweetwater, Oklahoma to Emma (Goodwin) and Walter Irvin Perry Sr. He passed away May 13, 2018 at Sweetwater, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years, 4 month and 29 days.
 

Walter moved with his family to Pie Town, New Mexico in 1933. He attended several schools while helping his mother raise the family after his father died. Walter graduated from Greer School in New Mexico and soon after he moved with the family north of Pie Town and he helped run the family farm along with his brother, Odell, and also worked at many other odd jobs to help support the family. On June 1, 1949, he married Anna Louise Parker in Socorro, NM and they remained in New Mexico where 3 of their children were born. In 1955 they moved to Sweetwater to make their home and complete the family with the birth of 3 more children. Walter and Louise began a dairy farm in 1966 which they operated until 1990 when they retired. After his retirement, Walter helped his sons with their farming.
 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter, Kimberly Ann Boswell, a grandson, Keith Dunlap, a great granddaughter, Kanesha Greer, 1 sister, Wilma Fowler and 2 brothers, Odell Perry and Beelee Perry.
 

He is survived by 5 children, Barbara Dunlap of Erick, OK, Steve Perry and wife, Brenda, of Sweetwater, OK, Stan Perry and wife, Pat, of Sweetwater, Gene Perry and Brenda of Sweetwater, OK, Debara Perry of Sweetwater, OK; 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Wraye Mead of Elk City, OK, Geneva Bartlett and husband, Leland, of Ruidoso, NM and Betty Allen of Albuquerque; and a host of other relatives and friends.
 

The family requests memorial donations be made to the  OU Children's Hospital,  Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, 1200 Children's Ave. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73104 or the Nesha Greer Memorial Scholarship C/O First State Bank of Erick  118 Roger Miller Blvd, Erick, OK 73645.
