Funeral services for Charles Mathew Hardy will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday,
at Rose Chapel with Rev. Hollis Press officiating. Interment will follow in the
Mulberry Cemetery, Sweetwater, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of
Rose Chapel Funeral service of Sayre.
He was born February 14, 1925 in Sweetwater to Nora Alice
and John E. Hardy and died Saturday in Copper, Texas at the age of 77.
He was married to Nell Alexander January 26, 1946. They made their home in
Copper for 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his one brother, Ellis Hardy and one sister,
Zella Mae Miller.
He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Hardy of the home; one son, Charles W. Hardy
of LaPorte, Texas; two daughters, Joy Woodall of Copper, Texas and Cindy Buckelew
of Artesia, New Mexico; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
