Bethel Ruth McArthur Davis was born July 23, 1916 in Sweetwater, Oklahoma to Nancy Emaline and John Elliot McArthur and passed away July 19, 1994 in the Mercy Health Center, Oklahoma City at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 26 days.
After graduating from Mulberry School, she attended Meridian School for a short while.
She married Robert Harley Davis on May 4, 1947 in Sweetwater, Oklahoma. They made their home on the McArthur family homestead where she was born.
She continued to live there until Jesus took her home to our Father's house of many Mansions where he had prepared a place for her. She knew the place where she was going. {John 14:2-4}.
She was a member of the Sweetwater Assembly of God Church. She gave her life to Jesus when she was a young woman. Because of her personal relationship with Him her life reflected love for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by one daughter and son in law, Addie Louise and Sam Gaddis of Ardmore, Oklahoma; two sons, Johnny Joe and Jessie Davis of Richland, Washington and Eli Warren Davis of Sweetwater, Oklahoma; one sister, Florence Orrell of Polvadera, New Mexico; seven grandchildren, Denise, Eli, Jr., Joy Manoah, Kimberlee, Kerry and Trina; and two great grandchildren, Lacee and Koty.
Services were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 1994 at the Sweetwater Assembly of God Church officiated by J. M. Ashley.
Interment will be in the Mulberry Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Sayre.
