Hammon Girl Dies In City Hospital
Berta Mae Hardy, 12 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Hardy of near Hammon died yesterday afternoon in a city hospital from the effects of blood poisoning.
The child received a broken arm in an accident several weeks ago and developed a severe infection of the member before the fracture had healed. Brought to the local hospital surgeons amputated the arm in an effort to control the infection that resulted in her death.
(The correct name of parents: Elwood Joseph Hardy and Bertha Ann Shockley).
