Gary Don Cockrell

08 Feb 1955 - 30 Jul 1970

Gary Don Cockrell, Reydon, age 15; died Thursday, July 30, 1970, in the baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City of injuries he sustained in a diving accident at Spring Creek July 3. Services were held in the Reydon Community building Satuday, August 1 at 10:00 a.m. with Leland Burch, Cecil Burch and Johnny Freeman officiating.

Gary Don was born February 8, 1955 in Guymon, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Doanld Cockrell, Reydon. He attended the Church of Christ and had lived in Reydon the past eight years.

He is survived by his parents of the home; one brother, Daniel of the home; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Helen Cockrell, Durham; maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bachmann, Durham; great grandfather, George Gantz, Durham; great grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Salder, Durham; three aunts Roberta Bachmann, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Melba Higgins, Amarillo, Texas; Mrs. Wanda Estes, Mobeetie, Texas; five uncles, Calvin Bachmann, Durham; J.G. Bachmann, Shamrock, Texas, Glen Cockrell, Reydon, Leo Cockrell, St. Louis, Mo. and Dale Cockrell, Cheyenne.

Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, OK with Scoggins and Son in charge of arrangements.
