Roberta Bachmann was born January 19, 1937 in Durham, Oklahoma to Robert and Ima (Gantz) Bachmann. She passed away May 04, 2018 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 3 months, and 15 days.
Roberta graduated from Durham High School and continued her education at Panhandle State University in Goodwell, OK. She graduated in 1959 as Valedictorian of her class with a Bachelors Degree. She later began her career at Oklahoma Christian University where she worked in the Registrar's Office. Roberta retired in 2005 and in 2007, she moved to Sayre to make her home.
She was a faithful Christian and was a member of the Sayre Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a sister, Yvonnne Cockrell of Durham, OK; 2 brothers, Calvin Bachmann and wife, Julia, of Durham, OK and J. G. Bachmann and wife, Wanda, of Shamrock, TX; her lifelong friend, Pat Stringer of Sayre, OK; her nieces, Carolyn Taylor of Arnett, OK, Rhonda Bentley of Canadian, TX, Regina Krug of Carrollton, TX, Janice Schub of Lubbock, TX and her nephews, Daniel Cockrell of Elk City, OK, Joey Cockrell of Durham, OK, Greg Bachmann of Durham, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
At Roberta's request, memorial donations can be made to the Westview Boys Home 120 W Broadway St. Hollis, OK 73550, Oklahoma Panhandle State University 323 Eagle Blvd. Goodwell, OK 73939 and Oklahoma Christian University 2501 E Memorial Rd, Edmond, OK 73013.
