Glen Easter Shockey

Glen Easter Shockey was born to Charley G. and Luizia Eaton Shockey in rural Roger Mills county on May 1, 1916. He passed from this life at his home southeast of Leedey, Oklahoma, on October 28, 2006 at the age of 90.
He attended Diamond Front country school near the family farm.
On November 27, 1937 he married Miss Rae Magdalena Farley at Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Six children blessed their marriage; three sons, Linville Glen, Terry Dale and Joe; three daughters, Mary Ann, Glenna Jean and Juanita Faye.
Glen was a life long farmer/rancher who enjoyed working the land.
His favorite interests were fishing and spending time with his family.
Glen was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and always a helpful neighbor.
On November 5, 1994 Glen was united in marriage to Mildred True.
Those loved ones preceding him in death are his wife, Rae Shockey; his parents, Charley and Luizia Shockey; his son, Dale Shockey; his brothers, Orville, Leon, Troy and John Shockey; and his sisters, Lena Blackketter, Martha Bell and Rozelle Harris.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Mildred of the home; his children, Linville Shockey and wife Maryann of Cordell; Mary Ann Stigleman and husband Eldred of Elk City; Joe Shockey and wife Kathy of Dumas, Texas; Glenna Fowler and husband Leon of Leedey; Juanita Courtney and husband Dale of Elk City; stepchildren, Jerry Daniel and wife Harriet of Alaska; Danny Daniels and wife Betty of North Carolina; Bill Daniels and wife Renee of Alaska; Lisa Lawrence of Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, November 1, 2006 in the Dewey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the Shaw Funeral Home, Leedey, Oklahoma.
