In the early morning of February the first, 1920, Fanny L. Adams passed from this life at the home of her son, W. A. Adams in Cheyenne at the ripe old age of eighty one years.

Grandma Adams came to Roger Mills County in an early day with her husband, Uncle Dick Adams and family and settled on a homestead on Quartermaster, near old Texmo.

Uncle Dick preceded her from this world some fifteen years ago. After his death Grandma continued to live on the farm with her son, W. A. Adams until about three years ago when they moved to Cheyenne.

Her friends in that part of the county were numerous as all knew and loved Grandma. While living in Cheyenne the feebleness of Grandma which crept on with age prevented her from forming a wide acquaintance but in the part of town which was her home, Grandma numbered each one as her friend.

Fanny L. Adams was born in Newberry County, Carolina, March 10, 1839.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

She leaves three sons and four daughters, R. I. Adams of Hammon; I. W. Adams of Apache; W. A. Adams of Cheyenne; Mrs. O. P. Pace of El Paso, Texas; Mrs. W. C. Black of Seagraves, Texas; Mrs. J. H. Vosburg of near Moorewood; and Mrs. Lee Crumal of Hammon; besides a number of grandchildren.

The remains were taken to the Quartermaster Cemetery {Dewey Cemetery} and placed beside those of her husband.
