Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah Louise Daugherty Isch, 99, Clinton resident will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in the Custer Avenue Church of Christ, officiated by Patrick Peters.
Burial will conclude in the Dempsey Cemetery, Dempsey, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Beulah Daugherty was born March 27, 1908 to George and Maude Etta Gilbert Daugherty in Grimes, Oklahoma and passed away Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008 in the Methodist Health Care Center in Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 99 years, 11 months and 26 days, just four days shy of her 100th birthday.
Beulah was raised in the Cheyenne area and attended the Emerson Consolidated School and Cheyenne High School.
She married Mr. Henry Clyde Isch November 16, 1929 in Cheyenne.
They made their home in the Dempsey area and she became a farmer's wife. She helped on the farm, gardened, canned, raised chickens, as well as doing health care for others in their homes and in hospital and nursing homes. She cared for other peoples children.
Mr. Isch preceded her in death in 1981 and she moved to Clinton in 1986.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Tamara George; and four brothers, Clifford, Pete, Raymond and Earl; and a sister, Virgie.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She loved to quilt and had been members of different quilting clubs, and the Extension home makers.
She is survived by a daughter, Juanita Jencks of Clinton; and a son, Earnest Isch and his wife, Rose of Bethany; a sister, Bertha Ellis of Hobart, Oklahoma; and a sister-in-law, Bessie Daugherty of Elk City; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and numerous friends.
