Daren Keith Gilliland © Cheyenne Star 18 Mar 1920 Submitted by: Wanda Purcell
The death angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. V. H. Gilliland on March 11, 1920, and took from their midst little Daren Keith, aged 1 year, 6 months and 21 days after an illness of one month. He was afflicted with whooping cough, Spanish Influenza and bronchial pneumonia and the three at once were more than his frail little body could overcome.
He was a patient little sufferer and never complained. All that loving hands could do was done for him but the Heavenly Father saw best to call him away.
To those that mourn for him we may grieve, not for we know he is happy with Jesus who said, "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
Burial took place in Dempsey Cemetery.
