Mrs. Martha A. Atwood ...died at her home twelve miles southwest of Cheyenne on Wednesday, February, 1905 of appendicitis.

Mrs. Atwood was 58.

She had suffered much and was exceedingly low when Dr. Tedro was called the day of her death.

An operation was performed as the last feeble hope for her, but it proved to be too late.

Interment was in the Dempsey cemetery, Dempsey, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
