Troy Eugene “Gene” Wiley was born on June 27, 1960 to Robert Wendel Wiley and
Clara Ann (Richards) Hale in Hayward, CA. He passed on December 29, 2025 at the
age of 65 years, 6 months, and 2 days.
Gene grew up in Ceres, CA along with his 3 sisters Molly, Teresa, and Annie and
one brother Gerald. Gene made his home in Modesto, CA and worked with his uncle
painting and dry walling. In 1990, he moved to Shawnee, OK where he met Linda
Clift. They were married on March 11, 1993 and to this union three children were
born, Maria, Rabecca, and Kimberly. He made his home in various places in
Oklahoma and California where he continued to free lance as a painter and dry
waller.
In 2013, he came to visit his family in Cheyenne, OK and decided to make
his home there.
In his spare time, he loved spending time with his grandkids, taking them to the
park everyday. He liked to watch wrestling and westerns on television. He was a
member of the Cheyenne First Methodist Church and attended until his health
prevented him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Wiley and Clara Hale, daughter
Maria Wiley, his sisters, Molly Martins and Annie Wiley, and a brother Gerald
Wiley.
He is survived by his two daughters Rabecca Wiley of Weatherford, OK and
Kimberly Wiley of Elk City, OK; grandchildren Kiah, Anthony, Breanna, Chelsea,
Zayne, Zach, Travis, Blakely, and one on the way; a sister, Teresa Patterson and
husband Jim of Modesto, CA; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of
friends.
Services were held Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Cheyenne First Methodist
Church, Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
Interment followed at the Cheyenne Cemetery under
the direction of Whinery Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Elk City, Oklahoma.
